EARTHQUAKE IN JOSE ABAD SANTOS, SOUTHERN PHILIPPINES

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring developments following a 6.4 Richter scale magnitude earthquake in Jose Abad Santos, Southern Philippines on 29 September 2019.

 

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), no major damage was reported.  However, the earthquake is expected to generate aftershocks.

 

There has been no report of any Malaysians affected by the earthquake.
