EMERGENCY LANDING OF SINGAPORE AIRLINES FLIGHT SQ321 

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok, confirms that nine (9) Malaysians, including a crew member, who were on board Singapore Airlines Flight SQ321 from London to Singapore that made an emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Bangkok, Thailand, on 21 May 2024, are receiving treatment for injuries sustained.

A total of 16 Malaysians were on board the flight.

The Embassy has been coordinating with local authorities and hospitals, with consular officers visiting Malaysians who were admitted to several hospitals in Bangkok to provide consular assistance.

Currently, six (6) Malaysians are being treated at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital and three (3) at Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital. According to both hospitals, all of them suffered physical and internal injuries, with one person in critical but stable condition. They are under surveillance and awaiting medical results.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and wishes a speedy recovery to all those injured in this unfortunate incident.
