MALAYSIA’S CONTRIBUTION OF 250,000 FACE MASKS TO THE REPUBLIC OF IRAQ

On 13 September 2021, the Government of Malaysia contributed 250,000 units of face masks to the Republic of Iraq, through its embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

The contribution marks an integral part of our continuous effort to work closely with the Republic of Iraq and the international community to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The contribution was funded by the Akaun Amanah Pembelaan Rakyat Iraq (AAKPRI) which was established in 2003 under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.

Malaysia’s contribution to the Republic of Iraq reflects the warm and cordial ties both countries continue to enjoy amid the pandemic. Malaysia reaffirms its commitment to continuing our cooperation with the Republic of Iraq for the mutual benefits of both countries.
