MALAYSIA STRONGLY CONDEMNS TERROR ATTACK AT

ADEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, YEMEN

 

 

Malaysia strongly condemns the terror attack at the Aden International Airport in Yemen on 30 December 2020 which has resulted in the loss of innocent lives and injuries, as well as destruction of properties. Malaysia extends its heartfelt sympathies and condolences to those affected by this inhumane act of violence.

 

Malaysia rejects all forms of violence that destabilize peace and security in the region.Malaysia believes that the positive efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Riyadh Agreement to bring about peace and stability in Yemen, including the recent formation of the new Yemeni government, will not be undermined by the 30 December terror attack. Instead, the progress towards peace in Yemen should be strongly supported and sustained.

 

Malaysia reiterates its support for an inclusive and peaceful solution to the conflict in Yemen, which can only be achieved through continued dialogue and negotiation.
