EXPLOSIONS AT THE SATUN AND PHATTHALUNG PROVINCES, THAILAND,
9 AND 10 MARCH 2019
The Consulate General of Malaysia in Songkhla, Thailand confirms that there have been a series of explosions in Southern Thailand, namely 4 explosions in Satun Province, and 6 explosions in Phatthalung Province on 9 and 10 March 2019.
Thus far, no casualties have been reported and no Malaysians were involved in these incidents.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Malaysians travelling to Thailand or those residing in Thailand to remain vigilant and pay close attention to personal safety at all times.
Malaysians travelling to or residing in Thailand are also encouraged to register themselves with the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok or the Consulate General of Malaysia in Songkhla. The registration can be done either by email or fax.
