His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah will be undertaking a State Visit to the Republic of Indonesia on 26 – 29 August 2019.
His Majesty will be accompanied by Her Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj. Their Majesties’ entourage will include Minister of Economic Affairs, YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Azmin bin Ali as Minister in Attendance, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Istana Negara and the Prime Minister’s Department.
The programmes arranged for the State Visit will include a State Welcoming Ceremony, an Audience and a State Banquet hosted by His Excellency Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia at Istana Bogor, Jakarta.
Their Majesties have also consented to attend a Dinner with the Malaysian diaspora in Indonesia and to visit Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
Their Majesties will also visit Yogyakarta and meet with Sultan of Yogyakarta and Governor of Special Region of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X. Visits to historical sites will also be included in Their Majesties programme while in Yogyakarta.
The State Visit symbolises the warm and close bilateral relations between Malaysia and the Republic of Indonesia, and will certainly contribute to further cementing the existing bond of friendship between both countries which has been established since 62 years ago.
