THE 17TH ASIA COOPERATION DIALOGUE MINISTERIAL MEETING, 21 JANUARY 2021

 

YB Dato’ Kamarudin Jaffar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, will be participating in the 17th Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Ministerial Meeting which will be held virtually on 21 January 2021 at 3.00 p.m. (Malaysian time). The meeting will be chaired by H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, as the incumbent Chair of ACD for the term 2019-2021.

 

With the theme “The New Normal and Safe and Healthy Tourism”, ACD Ministers will deliberate on key regional issues, particularly the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism sector and identify measures to revitalise the tourism industry post-pandemic. The outcome document, the Ankara Declaration will be adopted during the Meeting affirming ACD Member States’ aspiration and dedication towards achieving a robust and resilient Asian region.

 

Malaysia is committed to work together with ACD Member States in enhancing cooperation and creating a sustainable Asian community.
