WORKING VISIT OF DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER DATO’ SRI HAJI FADILLAH HAJI YUSOF TO THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM 25 – 26 JULY 2024

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof will undertake a working visit to Vietnam from 25 to 26 July 2024, as a representative of the Government of Malaysia at the State Funeral of the late General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, His Excellency Nguyen Phu Trong.

The State Funeral will take place at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi in the morning of 26 July 2024. Besides paying his last respects, the Deputy Prime Minister will also meet with the family members of the late General Secretary, top leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and senior officials of the Government of Vietnam to convey condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Malaysia.

This visit underscores Malaysia’s commitment to maintaining strong diplomatic relations with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and honouring the legacy of the late General Secretary, Nguyen Phu Trong.
