SUICIDE BOMBING AT THE MILITARY BASE CAMP IN ADEN, YEMEN

 

The Government of Malaysia condemns the suicide bombing outside the military base camp in Khor Maksar district, Aden on 18 December 2016 which killed 52 people and injured 84 others.

 

The Government of Malaysia conveys its deepest condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of the Republic of Yemen particularly to the families of the victims affected by the attack.  Malaysia regards the attack as a cruel act of terrorism and hopes the perpetrators will soon be brought to justice.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia through the Embassy of Malaysia in Muscat, Oman will continue to monitor the situation.
