on the Rights of Palestinians to Self-Determination

12 February 2025

 

1.  We reaffirm our longstanding support for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including the rights to self-determination, and to their homeland. We call on the international community to ensure respect for international law, international humanitarian and human rights law.

2.  We urge all parties concerned to engage in meaningful dialogue to achieve a comprehensive and peaceful resolution to the long-standing conflict based on the two-State solution in accordance with international law and the relevant UNSC and UNGA resolutions, including UNGA resolution A/RES/ES-10/23 on the Admission of New Members to the UN dated 10 May 2024 which we all voted in favour.

3.  We call on all parties involved to build upon the momentum of the multi-phase ceasefire and hostage release agreement that came into effect on 19 January 2025, to maintain conducive conditions for the full and effective implementation of the agreement, and to work towards a comprehensive and durable resolution.

4.  We also call for a full, safe, rapid, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance for the Palestinians including through continuation of the UNRWA’s role and mandate, and for the immediate reconstruction to ensure the livelihood for the people of Gaza.

LAWATAN RASMI MENTERI LUAR NEGERI REPUBLIK CUBA KE MALAYSIA

12-15 FEBRUARI 2025

 

Tuan Yang Terutama Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla, Menteri Luar Negeri Republik Cuba akan mengadakan lawatan rasmi ke Malaysia dari 12 hingga 15 Februari 2025. Ini merupakan lawatan sulung beliau ke Malaysia sejak menyandang jawatan tersebut pada 2 Mac 2009. Lawatan ini berlangsung bersempena ulang tahun ke-50 hubungan diplomatik di antara Malaysia dan Cuba yang terjalin semenjak 6 Februari 1975.

TYT Bruno dijadual untuk mengadakan pertemuan dua hala dengan YB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Menteri Luar Negeri. Kedua-dua Menteri Luar dijangka membincangkan kerjasama dua hala antara kedua-dua buah negara seperti perdagangan, usahasama dalam bidang bioteknologi dan kesihatan, serta latihan dan pembangunan keupayaan. Kedua-dua pihak juga akan bertukar-tukar pandangan mengenai isu-isu pelbagai hala yang berkepentingan bersama. Antara topik yang dijangka akan dibincangkan adalah ASEAN dan BRICS.

TYT Bruno juga dijadual untuk mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke atas YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Perdana Menteri dalam rangka lawatan ini.

TYT Bruno seterusnya dijadual untuk mengadakan pertemuan dengan Jawatankuasa Pilihan Khas Hubungan Antarabangsa dan Perdagangan Antarabangsa Parlimen di Parlimen Malaysia. Satu Memorandum Persefahaman (MoU) di antara BERNAMA dan Prensa Latina akan ditandatangani dalam bidang kewartawanan, manakala Pertukaran Nota (Exchange of Notes - EoN) akan berlangsung di antara Institut Diplomasi dan Hubungan Luar (IDHL) dengan Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI) dalam bidang latihan diplomasi.

REPUBLIC OF CUBA TO MALAYSIA

12 – 15 FEBRUARY 2025

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla will be undertaking an official visit to Malaysia from 12 to 15 February 2025. This will be his first visit to Malaysia since assuming office on 2 March 2009. The visit coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Cuba, which was established on 6 February 1975.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Bruno is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan. Their discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation between both countries, particularly in trade, biotechnology, health, and training and capacity-building. Both sides will also exchange views on key multilateral issues, with ASEAN and BRICS expected to feature prominently.

Foreign Minister Bruno is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

As part of his engagements in Malaysia, Foreign Minister Bruno will also meet with the Parliamentary Special Select Committee on International Relations and International Trade at Parliament. His visit will also include the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BERNAMA and Prensa Latina in the field of journalism, as well as an Exchange of Notes (EoN) between the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) and the Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI) to enhance cooperation in diplomatic training.

LAWATAN KERJA TIMBALAN MENTERI LUAR NEGERI REPUBLIK

INDONESIA KE MALAYSIA

11-13 FEBRUARI 2025 

 

Tuan Yang Terutama Arif Havas Oegroseno, Timbalan Menteri Luar Negeri Republik Indonesia akan mengadakan lawatan kerja ke Malaysia dari 11 hingga 13 Februari 2025.

Semasa lawatan kerja tersebut, TYT Arif Havas akan mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke atas YB Datuk Mohamad Alamin, Timbalan Menteri Luar Negeri dan menghadiri jamuan makan tengahari yang dihoskan YB Timbalan Menteri bagi meraikan beliau dan delegasi.

TYT Arif Havas turut akan mengadakan pertemuan dengan Timbalan Menteri Pertanian dan Keterjaminan Makanan; Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan; Ketua Pengarah Keselamatan Negara; Ketua Pengarah Lembaga Minyak Sawit Malaysia dan Setiausaha Politik Kanan kepada YAB Perdana Menteri.

Tujuan lawatan ini adalah bagi membincangkan hasil Lawatan Negara oleh Yang Mulia Presiden Prabowo Subianto ke Malaysia pada 27 Januari 2025 serta isu-isu dua hala dan serantau yang berkepentingan bersama. Lawatan ini merupakan kesinambungan gerak kerja rapat kedua-dua belah pihak selepas Lawatan Negara Presiden Republik Indonesia baru-baru ini.

TYT Arif Havas turut dijadual untuk menyampaikan syarahan di Forum “Muafakat Indonesia-Malaysia: Advancing Economic Growth and Security Stability in ASEAN’s Digital Age” di Management and Science University (MSU), Shah Alam.

Pada tahun 2024, jumlah dagangan dua hala Malaysia-Indonesia telah direkodkan sebanyak RM116.29 bilion (USD25.5 bilion), peningkatan 4.5 peratus daripada RM111.21 bilion (USD24.39 bilion) pada tahun 2023. Republik Indonesia merupakan rakan dagang keenam terbesar Malaysia di peringkat global dan kedua terbesar dalam kalangan Negara Anggota ASEAN.

WORKING VISIT BY THE VICE MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA TO MALAYSIA 11-13 FEBRUARY 2025 

 

Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Arif Havas Oegroseno will undertake a working visit to Malaysia from 11 to 13 February 2025.

During the visit, Vice Minister Arif Havas will pay a courtesy call on Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Datuk Mohamad Alamin and attend a working luncheon hosted by the latter in the former’s honour.

Vice Minister Arif Havas will also meet with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security; Deputy Minister of Defence, Director-General of the National Security Council; Director-General of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board, and the Senior Political Secretary to the Prime Minister.

The visit aims to discuss the outcomes of President Prabowo Subianto’s State Visit to Malaysia on 27 January 2025, along with bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest. It also underscores the continued close cooperation between both nations following the recent State Visit by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Vice Minister Arif Havas is also scheduled to deliver a lecture at the Forum “Muafakat Indonesia-Malaysia: Advancing Economic Growth and Security Stability in ASEAN’s Digital Age” at Management and Science University (MSU), Shah Alam.

In 2024, total bilateral trade between Malaysia and Indonesia was recorded at RM116.29 billion (USD 25.5 billion), an increase of 4.5 percent from RM111.21 billion (USD24.39 billion) in 2023. The Republic of Indonesia was Malaysia's sixth largest trading partner globally and the second largest trading partner among ASEAN member states.
