PELANTIKAN KETUA-KETUA PERWAKILAN DIPLOMATIK MALAYSIA YANG BAHARU

 

 

Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al- Musta’in Billah telah mengampuni perkenan pelantikan 11 Ketua Perwakilan Diplomatik Malaysia yang baharu dalam satu istiadat penyerahan watikah pelantikan yang berlangsung di Istana Negara pada hari ini. Istiadat tersebut turut dihadiri oleh YBhg. Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Luar Negeri. Ketua-ketua Perwakilan Diplomatik tersebut adalah:

Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fadil bin Shamsuddin

Bakal Duta Besar Malaysia ke Emiriah Arab Bersatu

Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fadil merupakan graduan Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM) dan menyertai perkhidmatan awam pada tahun 1995. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau merupakan Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja di Istana Negara sejak tahun 2019.

Sebelum bertugas di Istana Negara, beliau merupakan Duta Besar Malaysia ke Qatar (2017-2019); Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Poland (2016-2017); dan Konsul Jeneral Malaysia di Dubai, Emiriah Arab Bersatu. Beliau juga pernah ditugaskan di pejabat Perwakilan Diplomatik Malaysia yang lain iaitu di Canberra, Australia; Havana, Cuba; dan Santiago, Chile.

Beliau juga pernah memegang jawatan sebagai Pegawai Khas kepada Menteri Luar Negeri dan pernah ditempatkan di Jabatan Hal Ehwal Pelbagai Hala serta Bahagian OIC.

Dato’ Tan Yang Thai

Bakal Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Sosialis Vietnam

Berkelulusan Sarjana Hubungan Antarabangsa dari Waseda University di Jepun, Dato’ Tan Yang Thai menyertai Perkhidmatan Tadbir dan Diplomatik pada tahun 1995. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau memegang jawatan Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke Republik Sosialis Demokratik Sri Lanka sejak tahun 2018.

Sebelum itu, Dato’ Tan pernah berkhidmat sebagai Konsul Jeneral Malaysia di Shanghai, Republik Rakyat China, dan pejabat Perwakilan Diplomatik Malaysia yang lain di Moscow, Persekutuan Rusia; dan Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Di Kementerian Luar Negeri, beliau pernah memegang jawatan Setiausaha Bahagian Asia Selatan dan Asia Tengah, Setiausaha Bahagian CLMV dan Oceania, dan menjalankan tugas di Bahagian Asia Timur, Bahagian Pembangunan dan Bahagian Asia Tenggara.

Dr. Adina binti Kamarudin

Bakal Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Persekutuan Jerman

Dr. Adina berkelulusan Doktor Falsafah (PhD) dalam bidang Undang-Undang dari Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) dan memulakan perkhidmatan sebagai Pegawai Tadbir Diplomatik di Kementerian Luar Negeri pada tahun 1997. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau memegang jawatan sebagai Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Hal Ehwal Maritim sejak tahun 2018.

Pengalaman beliau berkhidmat di luar negara adalah termasuk penugasan sebagai Konsul Jeneral Malaysia di Frankfurt, Jerman dan Setiausaha Kedua di Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Dublin, Ireland. Di Kementerian Luar Negeri, Dr. Adina pernah bertugas di Bahagian Inspektorat, Bahagian Ekonomi dan Bahagian Konsular.

Dr. Adina juga merupakan Profesor Adjung di Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) dan Felo Penyelidik Utama Pelawat, Institut Oseanografi & Sekitaran (INOS), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).

Ambassador Mohammad Azhar bin Mazlan

Bakal Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke Republik Islam Pakistan

Ambassador Mohammad Azhar merupakan graduan Southwest Texas State University di Amerika Syarikat dan menyertai perkhidmatan awam pada tahun 1994. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau memegang jawatan sebagai Setiausaha Bahagian Asia Selatan dan Asia Tengah sejak tahun 2019.

Sepanjang karier diplomatik beliau, Ambassador Azhar pernah berkhidmat sebagai Duta Besar Malaysia ke Mexico (2015-2018) dan Konsul Jeneral Malaysia di Davao City, Filipina. Beliau juga pernah ditugaskan di pejabat Perwakilan Diplomatik Malaysia yang lain di Rome, Itali; dan Suva, Fiji.

Di Kementerian Luar Negeri pula, Ambassador Azhar pernah memegang jawatan sebagai sebagai Pengarah di Institut Diplomasi dan Hubungan Luar Negeri (IDFR), Timbalan Ketua Pengarah di Pusat Serantau Asia Tenggara Bagi Mencegah Keganasan (SEARCCT), Timbalan Ketua Pengarah di Jabatan Perancangan Dasar dan Strategik dan penempatan lain di Bahagian Asia Barat dan Afrika Utara serta Bahagian Afrika dan Selatan Sahara.

Ambassador Mohamad Nasri bin Abdul Rahman

Bakal Duta Besar Malaysia ke Kerajaan Hasyimiah Jordan

Berkelulusan Sarjana Sains Komunikasi Korporat dari Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Ambassador Mohamad Nasri merupakan Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik lantikan tahun 1996. Beliau sebelum ini menyandang jawatan Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke Papua New Guinea sejak tahun 2018.

Beliau pernah berkhidmat di beberapa pejabat Perwakilan Diplomatik Malaysia yang lain sebagai Konsul Jeneral Malaysia di Kunming dan pernah bertugas di Republik Rakyat China; Pekanbaru, Indonesia; dan Amman, Jordan.

Di Kementerian Luar Negeri pula, beliau memegang jawatan sebagai Pengarah di Institut Diplomasi dan Hubungan Luar Negeri (IDFR) dan ditempatkan di Jabatan Protokol dan Konsular, Bahagian Kewangan dan Akaun, serta Bahagian Pentadbiran dan Keselamatan.

Ambassador Ilham Tuah bin Illias

Bakal Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Uzbekistan

Ambassador Ilham Tuah merupakan graduan Hawaii Pacific University di Amerika Syarikat dan menyertai perkhidmatan awam pada tahun 1998. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau merupakan Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke Fiji sejak tahun 2018. Beliau juga pernah ditugaskan di pejabat Perwakilan Diplomatik Malaysia yang lain iaitu termasuk di Pyongyang, Korea Utara; Pretoria, Afrika Selatan; dan Ottawa, Kanada.

Di Kementerian Luar Negeri pula, beliau pernah memegang jawatan sebagai Setiausaha Bahagian Pengurusan Sumber Manusia, Timbalan Ketua Protokol, dan ditempatkan di Bahagian Afrika dan Selatan Sahara, Bahagian ASEAN dan Bahagian Pertubuhan Antarabangsa.

Puan Mazita binti Marzuki

Bakal Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke New Zealand

Berkelulusan Sarjana Pengurusan Sumber Manusia dari Golden Gate University di Amerika Syarikat, Puan Mazita menyertai perkhidmatan awam sebagai Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik pada tahun 2001. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau berkhidmat sebagai Konsul Jeneral Malaysia di Melbourne, Australia sejak tahun 2019.

Puan Mazita juga pernah bertugas sebagai Penasihat Kedutaan di Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Abu Dhabi, Emiriah Arab Bersatu. Di Kementerian Luar Negeri pula, beliau pernah memegang jawatan Timbalan Ketua Pengarah di Pusat Serantau Asia Tenggara Bagi Mencegah Keganasan (SEARCCT) dan di Bahagian OIC dan Kerjasama Serantau.

Encik Edi Irwan bin Mahmud

Bakal Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Demokratik Rakyat Lao

Berkelulusan Sarjana Pentadbiran Perniagaan dari Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Encik Edi Irwan menyertai perkhidmatan awam pada tahun 2001. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau bertugas sebagai Timbalan Ketua Protokol sejak tahun 2019. Beliau juga pernah menjawat jawatan sebagai Konsul Jeneral Malaysia di Perth, Australia dan pernah bertugas di Suva, Fiji; Hanoi, Republik Sosialis Vietnam; dan Sana’a, Yemen.

Di Kementerian Luar Negeri, beliau pernah memegang jawatan sebagai Timbalan Ketua Pengarah di Jabatan Perancangan Dasar dan Penyelarasan, serta ditempatkan di Jabatan Penerangan dan Diplomasi Awam, Bahagian Afrika dan Selatan Sahara, dan Bahagian Asia Timur.

Encik Zainal Izran bin Zahari

Bakal Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Senegal

Encik Zainal Izran merupakan graduan Universiti Malaya (UM) dan menyertai Perkhidmatan Tadbir dan Diplomatik pada tahun 2002. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau berkhidmat sebagai Menteri Kedutaan di Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Vienna, Austria sejak tahun 2019.

Encik Mohd Adli bin Abdullah

Bakal Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Kazakhstan

Encik Mohd Adli merupakan graduan Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) dan memulakan perkhidmatan sebagai Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik di Kementerian Luar Negeri pada tahun 2002. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau bertugas sebagai Setiausaha Bahagian Konsular sejak tahun 2018.

Beliau juga pernah memegang jawatan sebagai Konsul Jeneral Malaysia di Vancouver, Kanada; dan Setiausaha Kedua di Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Manila, Filipina. Di peringkat Kementerian pula, beliau pernah berkhidmat di Bahagian Pentadbiran dan Keselamatan, Bahagian Politik Pelbagai Hala, Bahagian Eropah dan Asia Tengah, serta Bahagian OIC.

Encik Badli Hisham bin Adam

Bakal Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke Republik Sosialis Demokratik Sri Lanka

Encik Badli Hisham merupakan graduan dari Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) yang memulakan perkhidmatan sebagai Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik pada tahun 1996. Sebelum pelantikan ini, beliau berkhidmat sebagai Menteri Kedutaan di Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan sejak tahun 2019.

Beliau pernah ditugaskan di pejabat Perwakilan Diplomatik Malaysia sebelum ini sebagai Staf Tim Pemantau Antarabangsa di Mindanao serta pernah berkhidmat di Republik Filipina; Ankara, Türkiye; dan Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Di Kementerian Luar Negeri pula, beliau pernah ditugaskan di Jabatan Perancangan Dasar dan Strategik, Bahagian Eropah, Bahagian Pentadbiran dan Keselamatan, Bahagian Protokol, Bahagian Asia Barat, serta Bahagian Eropah Timur.

His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah had presented the Letters of Credence to 11 new Heads of Diplomatic Mission of Malaysia during a ceremony held at Istana Negara today. The ceremony was also attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin. The newly appointed Heads of Mission are:

Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fadil bin Shamsuddin

Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the United Arab Emirates

Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fadil is a Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM) graduate and joined the Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1995. Prior to this appointment, he had assumed the role of Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja at Istana Negara since 2019.

Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fadil’s past appointments include as the Ambassador of Malaysia to the State of Qatar (2017-2019), Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Poland (2016- 2017), and Consul General of Malaysia in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He also served at other Malaysia’s diplomatic missions in Canberra, Australia; Havana, Cuba; and Santiago, Chile.

Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fadil also previously served as Special Officer to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and assumed roles at the Department of Multilateral Affairs including OIC Division, in various capacities.

Dato’ Tan Yang Thai

Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Dato’ Tan holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Waseda University, Japan and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995. Prior to this appointment, he served as the High Commissioner of Malaysia to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka since 2018.

He also served as Consul General of Malaysia in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China and other Malaysia’s diplomatic missions in Moscow, the Russian Federation; and Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Among the tasks assigned to him at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously were as Undersecretary of South and Central Asia Division and Undersecretary of CLMV and Oceania Division, as well as, the roles at East Asia Division, Development Division, and Southeast Asia Division.

Dr. Adina binti Kamarudin

Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany

Dr. Adina holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Law) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the Administrative and Diplomatic officer in 1997. Prior to the first ambassadorial appointment, she was the Director General of the Department of Maritime Affairs since 2018.

As a diplomat, she previously served as Consul General of Malaysia in Frankfurt, Germany, and Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin, Ireland. In addition, her contribution at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs included the roles at Inspectorate Division, Economic Division and Consular Division.

Dr. Adina is also an Adjunct Professor for Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) and the Visiting Research Fellow at Institute of Oceanography and Environment (INOS), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).

High Commissioner-designate of Malaysia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

Ambassador Mohammad Azhar graduated from Southwest Texas State University, the United States of America (USA) before joining the Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1994. Prior to this appointment, he was the Undersecretary of South and Central Asia Division since 2019.

Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Ambassador Mohamad Nasri holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communication from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and joined the civil service as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer in 1996. Before this appointment, he was the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Papua New Guinea since 2018. He also served as the Consul General of Malaysia in Kunming, People’s Republic of China and other Malaysia’s Diplomatic Missions in Pekanbaru, Republic of Indonesia; and Amman, Jordan.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he used to serve as Director and Deputy Director at IDFR, and assumed several roles at the Department of Protocol and Consular, Finance and Account Division, and Administration and Security Division.

Mr. Edi Irwan holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and began his service as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer in 2001. Prior to his first ambassadorial appointment, he was the Deputy Chief of Protocol since 2019.

He also served at other Malaysia’s diplomatic missions as Consul General of Malaysia in Perth, Australia, as well as, other overseas assignments in Suva, Fiji; Hanoi, Socialist Republic of Vietnam; and Sana’a, Yemen.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he served as the Deputy Director General at the Department of Policy Planning and Coordination, and held roles at the Department of Information and Public Diplomacy, Africa and South Sahara Division, East Asia Division and Protocol Division.

Mr. Zainal Izran bin Zahari

Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Republic of Senegal

Mr. Zainal Izran began his career as Administrative and Diplomatic officer in 2002, after graduating from Universiti Malaya (UM). Prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Senegal, he served as Minister at the Embassy of Malaysia in Vienna, Austria since 2019. He also served at other Malaysia’s diplomatic missions in Brussels, Belgium; Stockholm, Sweden; and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Republic of Kazakhstan

Graduated from International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), Mr. Mohd Adli began his career in the Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 2002. Most recently, he was the Undersecretary of Consular Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2018. His two prior assignments abroad were as Consul General of Malaysia in Vancouver, Canada, and Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila, the Philippines.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was previously assigned to Administration and Security Division, Multilateral Political Division, Europe and Central Asia Division, and OIC Division.

Following the completion of his studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Mr. Badli Hisham joined the Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1996. Prior to this latest appointment, he served as Minister at the Embassy of Malaysia in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan since 2019.

He served as a staff member of the International Monitoring Team in Mindanao, the Philippines, as well as, other overseas assignments in Ankara, Türkiye; and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

LAWATAN KHAS KEBAWAH DULI YANG MAHA MULIA PADUKA

Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Perdana Menteri Malaysia akan menerima keberangkatan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam ke Putrajaya pada 28 November 2022 dalam satu Lawatan Khas Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah ke Malaysia.

Ini merupakan pertemuan julung kali antara YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim dan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah selepas beliau dilantik sebagai Perdana Menteri Malaysia ke-10 pada 24 November 2022. Lawatan terakhir Paduka Seri Baginda ke Kuala Lumpur adalah pada 4 hingga 6 Mac 2019 lalu untuk menghadiri Rundingan Pemimpin Tahunan ke-22 antara Malaysia dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Malaysia dan Negara Brunei Darussalam mempunyai hubungan istimewa yang telah lama terjalin melalui persamaan warisan, budaya dan hubungan sesama insan. Bertitik tolak daripada hubungan istimewa ini, kedua-dua pemimpin akan mengambil peluang semasa lawatan tersebut untuk menilai kemajuan kerjasama sedia ada di samping meneroka potensi-potensi baru bagi meningkatkan hubungan dan kerjasama yang boleh memberi manfaat kepada kedua-dua buah negara.

YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim akan turut meraikan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Mateen serta rombongan dalam satu Majlis Santapan Tengahari.

Pada tahun 2021, Negara Brunei Darussalam merupakan rakan dagangan ke-30 terbesar Malaysia dan ke-6 terbesar dalam ASEAN dengan jumlah perdagangan berjumlah RM 8.03 bilion (USD1.94 bilion).

Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be receiving His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam in Putrajaya on 28 November 2022 during His Majesty’s special visit to Malaysia.

The inaugural meeting between YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah upon assuming office on 24 November 2022. The last visit by His Majesty the Sultan to Kuala Lumpur was from 4 to 6 March 2019 to attend the 22nd Annual Leader’s Consultation (ALC) between Malaysia and Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Malaysia and Negara Brunei Darussalam have a special relationship which is based on a common heritage, culture and close people-to-people relations. Building on this special relationship, both leaders will take the opportunity of this visit to take stock of the progress of existing cooperation as well as explore new potentials for a more comprehensive partnership that can mutually benefit the two countries.

YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will also host a luncheon in honour of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen ibni Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah and the Bruneian delegation.

In 2021, Negara Brunei Darussalam was Malaysia's 30th largest trading partner and the 6th largest within ASEAN with total trade amounting to RM 8.03 billion (USD1.94 billion).
