FLOOR COLLAPSE AT JAKARTA STOCK EXCHANGE

 

 

The mezzanine floor at the Jakarta Stock Exchange collapsed today at approximately 11:55 AM Jakarta local time. A number of local citizens were injured in the incident.

 

22 Malaysian students from the Management Science University representing Malaysia for the ASEAN CIMB Stock Challenge 2.0 competition who were accompanied by the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Education Malaysia officials were in the vicinity during that incident.

 

All the students and Malaysian officials were reportedly safe and had been evacuated to the adjacent Graha CIMB Niaga building.  

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its Embassy in Jakarta is closely monitoring the situation.
