PERTEMPURAN DI SEMPADAN THAILAND - KEMBOJA PERLU REDA DENGAN SERTA MERTA

DEMI KEAMANAN SERANTAU

 

Kerajaan Malaysia menegaskan bahawa keamanan, kestabilan dan kesejahteraan serantau kekal sebagai keutamaan utama Malaysia.

Sehubungan itu, Malaysia memandang serius perkembangan terkini di kawasan sempadan Thailand–Kemboja dan menyeru agar semua pihak mengambil langkah segera bagi meredakan keadaan serta mengelakkan sebarang insiden yang boleh menjejaskan usaha perdamaian yang telah dicapai sebelum ini.

Malaysia mengiktiraf komitmen kedua-dua negara melalui Perjanjian Gencatan Senjata pada 28 Julai, Mesyuarat GBC pada 7 Ogos, serta KL Accord yang dimeterai pada 26 Oktober 2025.

Dalam semangat persefahaman serantau dan kepatuhan kepada komitmen terdahulu, Malaysia menyeru agar semua pihak kembali merujuk serta mematuhi Para 7 Perjanjian Gencatan Senjata bertarikh 28 Julai, yang menyatakan:

“In the event of an armed conflict, whether intentionally or unintentionally, both sides must promptly consult at the local level through existing bilateral mechanisms to prevent the situation from escalating along the border.”

Malaysia percaya bahawa melalui dialog berterusan, langkah diplomatik yang konstruktif, serta penghormatan terhadap mekanisme dua hala yang sedia ada, keamanan dan kestabilan dapat dikekalkan demi kepentingan bersama rantau ini.
