PERTEMUAN BERSAMA YB DATO' SERI TUAN GURU HAJI ABDUL HADI AWANG

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 APRIL 2020 (RABU)

 

Petang tadi saya mengadakan pertemuan dengan Presiden Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS), YB Dato’ Seri Tuan Guru Haji Abdul Hadi Awang. Pertemuan ini cukup bermakna kerana ia merupakan pertemuan pertama kami selepas beliau dilantik selaku Duta Khas YAB Perdana Menteri ke Timur Tengah pada 2 April lepas.
 

Semasa pertemuan tadi, saya mengambil kesempatan merakamkan setinggi-tinggi ucapan tahniah kepada Tuan Guru Haji Hadi Awang atas pelantikan ini. Selain itu, kami turut membincangkan bagaimana tanggungjawab kami berdua berupaya memperkasa peranan Malaysia di Timur Tengah khususnya dalam menghadapi cabaran situasi geopolitik yang tidak menentu termasuk yang terkini ialah penularan wabak Covid-19.
 

Di pihak Wisma Putra, tumpuan sekarang ialah memudahcara urusan kepulangan rakyat Malaysia yang masih terkandas diluar negara disebabkan sekatan perjalanan dan penutupan ruang udara oleh Kerajaan negara yang mereka diami. Selain itu, Wisma Putra juga perlu menjayakan hasrat Kerajaan untuk mengenalpasti negara yang mempunyai penyelidikan saintifik dan pembangunan vaksin terbaik seterusnya memastikan Malaysia menjadi negara terawal memperolehi vaksin tersebut.
 

Justeru, saya yakin dengan berbekalkan pengalaman dan pengaruh yang beliau miliki, pelantikan Tuan Guru Haji Hadi Awang hadir tepat pada masanya serta berupaya membantu saya dan warga Wisma Putra menjayakan pelbagai lagi agenda Wisma Putra khususnya berkaitan Timur Tengah. Ini termasuklah membantu memastikan hubungan diplomatik Malaysia dengan rakan negara di sana terus utuh dan berkekalan.
 

Marilah kita sama-sama doakan, semoga urusan Tuan Guru Haji Hadi Awang selaku Duta Khas YAB Perdana Menteri ke Timur Tengah dipermudahkan dan diberkati Allah SWT. InsyaAllah.
