LAWATAN KERJA KE LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (13 – 15 MAC 2023)

Saya ke London, United Kingdom setelah menerima jemputan King Charles III untuk bersama-sama meraikan Sambutan Hari Komanwel 2023 pada 13 Mac 2023. Sambutan kali ini julung kalinya dihoskan oleh King Charles III sebagai Ketua Komanwel.

Pada 14 Mac 2023 pula, saya akan menghadiri Mesyuarat Kumpulan Tindakan Menteri Komanwel (CMAG). Malaysia merupakan wakil tunggal benua Asia bagi Kumpulan Tindakan ini.

Saya turut akan menghadiri Mesyuarat Menteri Luar Negeri Komanwel (CFAMM) pada 15 Mac 2023. Mesyuarat tersebut akan dihadiri oleh majoriti Menteri-menteri Luar Negeri negara anggota Komanwel.

Mesyuarat ini akan membincangkan hala tuju dan masa depan Komanwel berikutan apa yang telah dipersetujui Ketua-Ketua Kerajaan pada CHOGM 2022.

Saya juga dijadualkan untuk menghadiri beberapa Mesyuarat Dua Hala dengan Menteri-menteri Luar Negeri Komanwel lain seperti United Kingdom, Sri Lanka dan Maldives.

Selain itu, saya juga akan bertemu dengan rakyat Malaysia yang kini menetap di London untuk berkongsi hala tuju dan harapan Kerajaan Perpaduan di bawah pentadbiran YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Besar harapan saya agar lawatan kerja saya ke London ini akan memberi manfaat buat Malaysia, serta meletakkan Malaysia di peringkat yang lebih tinggi di persada antarabangsa.
