LAWATAN KERJA MENTERI LUAR NEGERI KE THE HAGUE, BELANDA,

19–20 JUN 2023

 

Saya dalam rangka Lawatan Kerja ke Belanda bermula dari 19 hingga 20 Jun 2023. Ini merupakan lawatan sulung saya ke Belanda selaku Menteri Luar. Lawatan kerja ini adalah selaras dengan usaha berterusan Malaysia untuk mengukuhkan lagi hubungan dua hala dengan Belanda.

Belanda merupakan rakan dagangan yang penting buat Malaysia semenjak hubungan diplomatik terjalin di antara kedua-dua buah negara pada tahun 1957. Belanda juga merupakan salah satu negara dalam Kesatuan Eropah yang penting bagi Malaysia dari segi pelaburan, bidang pertanian, pelancongan, kebudayaan, dan banyak lagi.

Dalam lawatan ini, saya akan mengadakan pertemuan dengan rakan sejawat saya, TYT Wopke Hoekstra, Timbalan Perdana Menteri Belanda merangkap Menteri Luar Negeri. Pelbagai perkara akan dibincangkan terutamanya mengenai hubungan dua hala kedua-dua buah negara. Saya juga akan mengadakan perjumpaan dengan beberapa pihak di Belanda dalam usaha meningkatkan kerjasama kedua-dua negara dalam pelbagai bidang termasuk perdagangan dan pendidikan.

Lawatan kerja ini juga memberi peluang untuk saya menjelaskan mengenai dasar semasa Kerajaan di bawah kepimpinan baharu, terutamanya mengenai dasar luar dan usaha menarik pelaburan asing ke Malaysia. Lawatan kerja ini diharapkan dapat mengekalkan momentum dan mengeratkan lagi hubungan dua hala yang sedia terjalin antara Malaysia dengan Belanda.
