MALAYSIA MENGALU-ALUKAN RESOLUSI MAJLIS KESELAMATAN PERTUBUHAN BANGSA-BANGSA BERSATU MENGENAI GAZA

 

Malaysia mengalu-alukan Resolusi Majlis Keselamatan Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu (UNSC) 2728 (2024) mengenai Gaza pada 25 Mac 2024. Resolusi ini menuntut gencatan senjata serta merta, pembebasan tebusan tanpa syarat dan penghantaran segera bantuan kemanusiaan tanpa halangan.

Penerimaan resolusi ini merupakan satu kejayaan besar memandangkan konflik di Gaza bermula lebih lima bulan yang lalu.

Malaysia telah sekian lama menyeru agar Majlis Keselamatan PBB memenuhi tanggungjawab yang diamanahkan bagi melindungi rakyat Palestin daripada kekejaman Israel, yang sehingga kini telah meragut lebih daripada 32,000 nyawa. Sekatan sempadan rejim Israel telah mengakibatkan risiko kebuluran dan malnutrisi bagi 2.3 juta penduduk di Gaza.

Malaysia menyeru agar Majlis Keselamatan PBB memastikan Israel memenuhi tanggungjawabnya di bawah undang-undang antarabangsa dan menghentikan kekejaman terhadap rakyat Palestin dengan serta-merta.

Malaysia kekal komited dalam memperjuangkan isu Palestin dan akan meneruskan usaha ke arah penubuhan negara Palestin yang merdeka dan berdaulat, berdasarkan sempadan pra-1967, dengan Baitulmaqdis Timur sebagai ibu negara, dan supaya Palestin diterima sebagai Anggota penuh PBB.
