MISI EVAKUASI RAKYAT MALAYSIA DI SUDAN

Status terkini proses evakuasi rakyat Malaysia di Sudan, kesemua mereka selamat tiba di Port Sudan pada jam 2.07 petang waktu Sudan (8.07 malam waktu Malaysia), tarikh 24 April 2023 setelah melalui perjalanan sejauh 1,233 km dan mengambil masa selama 30 jam.

 

Jumlah keseluruhan rakyat Malaysia terlibat dalam proses evakuasi ini ialah 30 orang. Pasukan Khas (TF) Ops Sudan Malaysia juga berjaya membantu mengeluarkan 26 warganegara lain untuk turut sama dalam proses evakuasi ini. Pecahan warganegara lain adalah seperti berikut :

 

  • 1 orang warga Filipina;

 

  • 6 orang warga Kemboja;

 

  • 14 orang warga Singapura;

 

  • 1 orang warga Thailand;

 

  • 2 orang warga Amerika Syarikat;

 

  • 1 orang warga Palestin; dan

 

  • 1 orang warga Sudan

 

Dua (2) orang rakyat Malaysia yang tidak terlibat dengan proses evakuasi ini berkhidmat di United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) di Abyei dan proses evakuasi mereka akan dilakukan oleh pihak United Nations.

 

Selanjutnya, kita sedang mengusahakan untuk membawa kesemua 56 orang ini keluar dari Port Sudan melalui dua opsyen iaitu sama ada melalui laluan udara (sewaan khas pesawat) atau melalui laluan laut (kapal laut). Ini bergantung kepada opsyen mana yang akan mendapat kelulusan paling cepat dan segera daripada pihak berkaitan.

Keadaan rakyat Malaysia dan warganegara lain di dalam konvoi Malaysia ini dimaklumkan sihat dan selamat.

 

Sama-sama kita doakan agar proses mengeluarkan mereka dari Sudan berjaya dilakukan sesegera mungkin dan seterusnya kesemua mereka dapat pulang ke tanah air dengan selamat.
