PENUBUHAN JAWATANKUASA KHAS MENANGANI KES-KES

SINDIKET PENIPUAN MELIBATKAN RAKYAT MALAYSIA

 

Saya menzahirkan rasa terima kasih serta setinggi penghargaan kepada YAB Perdana Menteri Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri yang sedang memangku tugas Menteri Luar Negeri YB Datuk Dr. Haji Abdul Latiff Bin Ahmad serta seluruh Jemaah Menteri yang telah meneliti dan membincangkan isu warganegara Malaysia yang menjadi mangsa sindiket penipuan pada 21 September 2022.

Pada 19 September, saya telah mempengerusikan mesyuarat secara maya bersama Duta-Duta Besar dan Kuasa Usaha Sementara Malaysia di Myanmar, Kemboja, Laos, Thailand dan Vietnam bagi mempersiapkan nota mesyuarat untuk YB Datuk Dr. Abdul Latiff menerangkannya dalam Mesyuarat Jemaah Menteri. Kami juga bersetuju untuk mengadakan mesyuarat dengan pengurusan tertinggi Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) secara berkala dan meningkatkan penerangan media bagi isu ini.

Susulan Mesyuarat Jemaah Menteri tersebut, satu Jawatankuasa Khas akan ditubuhkan dengan keanggotaan pelbagai agensi kerajaan dan dipengerusikan oleh Menteri Luar Negeri. Saya juga telah mengarahkan Ketua Setiausaha KLN untuk mengadakan mesyuarat bersama agensi-agensi berkenaan pada 22 September 2022.

Kerajaan melalui KLN serta Perwakilan-Perwakilan Malaysia di luar negara terus komited dalam memperkasakan usaha untuk menyelamatkan mangsa-mangsa dan membawa mereka pulang ke tanah air dengan selamat.
