ANNUAL NEW YEAR GREETINGS AND RECEPTION

TYT Ambassador Hendy Assan and spouse attended the annual New Year greetings and reception to honour His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Secretary of State of the Vatican hosted by H.E. George Poulides, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.
In his address, the Cardinal Secretary of State emphasized on the Vatican's mission to combat injustice, promote human dignity, and inspire hope. Meanwhile, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps commended the Vatican's relentless pursuit of peace and called for innovative diplomacy rooted in mutual respect and courage.
Other than the exchanged of New Year greetings, the event also provided an opportunity for the Diplomatic Corps and the Vatican to reflect on the achievements of the past year and to touch base on issues / matters of mutual interest.
