DIPLOMATIC SPOUSES OF BUDAPEST FIFTH DIPLOMATIC CHARITY FAIR SUNDAY, 29 NOVEMBER 2015 INTERCONTINENTAL BUDAPEST

The Embassy of Malaysia in Budapest participated in the 5th Diplomatic Fair organised by the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest at the Intercontinental Budapest on 29 November 2015. The event was organized under the patronage of Madam Anita Herczegh, wife of the President of Hungary. The purpose of the fair was to create an entertaining day for the diplomatic community and local populace in the spirit of the festive season, to enable participating countries to showcase their culture and customs, and at the same time to raise funds for Hungarian charitable organisations.

This year, 46 Embassies participated with 41 countries taking part in the National Stands to exhibit their local crafts and souvenirs while 29 countries participated in the Food Corner, offering their nation’s popular food and beverages. The Embassy of Malaysia participated with both its National Stand and Food Corner.

At Malaysia’s National Stand, Malaysian crafts and batik dresses were showcased and put up for sale while at the Food Corner the Embassy of Malaysia offered Nasi Lemak, Teh Tarik and ready-to-use mixtures of some of Malaysia’s favorite dish like Asam Laksa, Rendang and Percik, among others.

Puan Jakkiah Sadik together with members of the PERWAKILAN and the Malaysian community coordinated the Embassy of Malaysia’s participation to the fair. The Embassy’s participation at the fair has successfully showcased Malaysia's culture and culinary delights.
