Your details will also help us get in touch with your family and friends if an emergency occur.

Entry Requirements:  Please do email the Embassy for all latest and updated travel requirements.

Safety and Security: Hungary is generally a safe place for visitors. However, safety precaution and security measures should be taken. We advise you to safeguard your belongings in public areas, especially in bus or railroad stations, airports and on any other public transportation. As in many countries, outward displays of wealth may increase your chances of being targeted by thieves. Avoid walking alone in dark and quiet places

Medical Facilities: Most hospital in Hungary would require medical insurance for assurance of treatment. Malaysians are advised to obtain travel insurance first before travelling

Payments: Hungarian Forint (HUF) is the local currency. Dollars, Euros and travellers cheque can be easily exchanged in any recognised money changer shop. Most of the shops and restaurants in Hungary accept credit cards.
