TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR MALAYSIANS TRAVELLING TO HUNGARY
If you are going to visit or live in Hungary, please take the time to inform our Embassy about your trip. If you register yourself with us, we can keep you updated with the important safety and security announcements. Safety and Security: Hungary is generally a safe place for visitors. However, safety precaution and security measures should be taken. We advise you to safeguard your belongings in public areas, especially in bus or railroad stations, airports and on any other public transportation. As in many countries, outward displays of wealth may increase your chances of being targeted by thieves. Avoid walking alone in dark and quiet places
Medical Facilities: Most hospital in Hungary would require medical insurance for assurance of treatment. Malaysians are advised to obtain travel insurance first before travelling
Payments: Hungarian Forint (HUF) is the local currency. Dollars, Euros and travellers cheque can be easily exchanged in any recognised money changer shop. Most of the shops and restaurants in Hungary accept credit cards.
