Bringing Malaysia Closer to Millions of Indonesian Commuters

On 29 July 2026, Tourism Malaysia launched a strategic Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign through the KAI Commuter network in Greater Jakarta, in collaboration with PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KAI Commuter) and PT Alternative Media Group (AMG).

The launch was officiated by Mr. Farzamie Sarkawi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta, underscoring the strong bilateral relationship and continued commitment of Malaysia and Indonesia to enhancing tourism cooperation.

Over the next six months, Visit Malaysia 2026-2027 branding will be featured across 20 Commuter Line train sets, connecting with millions of daily commuters throughout Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi.

To create a more interactive travel experience, the campaign also features QR codes integrated into the train branding. Passengers can simply scan the QR codes to access the latest tourism promotions, travel offers, and destination updates from Tourism Malaysia, making it easier than ever to plan their next Malaysian getaway.

This initiative reflects Tourism Malaysia's commitment to bring Malaysia closer to Indonesian travellers through innovative, high-impact destination marketing that seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
