International Conference for Jurist and Writers on International Terrorism (Morning)
The Mumbai University, in co-operation with the International Council of Jurist London and City Hall of Mumbai organised an International Conference on Terrorism which took place on 29 March 2015 held at the Mumbai University.
The Conference brought together government experts, diplomats and policy-makers responsible for combating terrorism and organised crime, as well as representatives of international organisations and academic experts, to share their experience and insights regarding similarities and links between terrorism and other forms of serious organised crime. The aim of the Conference was to identify best practices from the fight against terrorism and organised crime and to explore the potential for the comprehensive approach in policy-making in these areas.
Attending Indonesia Food Bazar Festival in Mumbai (Afternoon)
Consul General attended the Indonesian Cultural Day (Food Bazar) organized by the Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia. Held at the Consulate, the event showcased Indonesian food, culture and music performance by family of HBS and students.
The guests were surprised by the foods served that day, as they were so different from the stereotypical Indonesian hot and spicy foods. Some Indonesian traditional drinks also accompanied the sweet and savory Indonesian snacks.
Visit to KHADI Fest (Small and Medium Enterprises) Exhibition (Evening)
The SME KHADI exhibition run in partnership with Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises was launched to celebrate the achievements of small and medium-sized businesses throughout the State of Maharashtra.
According to the officials, this event is being held to celebrate and support the amazing and often unsung achievements of small and medium-sized businesses throughout the State of Maharashtra especially in Mumbai, which are quietly creating jobs, innovation and prosperity and driving the economy forward.
