CONSUL GENERAL MEETS MALAYSIAN STUDENTS AT KRISHNA MEDICAL COLLEGE IN KARAD MAHARASHTRA

 

 

Consul General of Malaysia in Mumbai, Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah visited Karad, Maharashtra on 18 December 2008 to meet 8 Malaysian students at Krishna College of Medical Sciences University.

 

During the visit Mr. Wan Zaidi was received by Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Vice Chancellor of the University. The Dean of Krishna Medical College, Dr. Ayachit and the Registrar Mr. Palikar were also present. The Consul General was brought to tour the university campus which includes the Medical College, the University Hospital, Dentistry College and also the hostel facility where 8 Malaysian students are being accommodated.

 

In an interactive session held, the Malaysian students said they are extremely happy with the facility provided to them and the course they went through so far. Mr. Wan Zaidi, apart from extending his words of encouragement, had also advised the students to stay in contacts with the Consulate and to inform of in any problem they might encounter in particular those related to their security and safety.

 

The Consul General also hosted a dinner for the Vice Chancellor, the Dean, a few members of the University and the Malaysian students. The Krishna College currently receiving about 23 foreign students yearly in both undergraduate and post graduate medical courses. The eight students enrolled since last August, are in the first batch of Malaysian students since the College was recognized by the Malaysian Government.
