DELEGATION OF SELANGOR STATE INVESTMENT CENTRE VISITED AHMEDABAD AND MUMBAI FROM 11-14 JANUARY 2009

 

A 5-member delegation of the Selangor State Investment Centre (SSIC) visited Ahmedabad from 11 to 13 January 2009 to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Investors’ Summit 2009. The delegation also made a working visit to Mumbai on 14 January 2009.

 

The SSIC delegation was led by the Executive Councilor  of the Selangor State, YB Dr. Xavier Jayakumar Arulnandam. The delegation is among more than 2000 participants of the Gujarat Investors’ Summit organized by the Government of Gujarat. In Ahmedabad, Dr. Xavier Arulnandam called on the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Hon. Narendra Modi with the presence of several other Ministers of the State.

 

In Mumbai, Dr. Xavier Arulnandam called on the Minister of Public Health of Maharashtra, Hon. Rajendra Shingane at the latter's office. The discusssion was centered on the possibility for both States cooperate in the field of health services. The SSIC delegation also had a meeting the local business community at the Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC) where a presentation on investment opportunities in Selangor State was made.
