DIIRECTOR GENERAL OF TOURISM MALAYSIA ON SALES MISSION TO INDIA

The Director General of Tourism Malaysia, Dato’ Mirza Mohammed Tayeeb led a 40-member sales mission to India from 28 February 2010 to 11 March 2010.

 

In the western region of India, the sales mission covered the cities of Mumbai and Ahmedabad from 4 to 6 March 2010.  In both cities, travels marts were organised where representatives of Malaysia travel sectors met their counterparts or clients. Tourism Malaysia have been organising sales missions to India over the last three years to further boost tourist arrivals from India. In 2009, nearly 600,000 tourists from India visited Malaysia.

 

In Mumbai, Dato Mirza also presented certificates of Malaysia Masters to 200 participants completing their course. Malaysia Masters is a course offered to travel sector representatives and tourist guides organised by Kouni Academi at its seven centres in India
