EID CELEBRATION IN MUMBAI
The Malaysian Community in Mumbai celebrated Eid festival this year with a colorful Hari Raya party organized by the Consulate General.
The Eid celebration in Mumbai began in 21st of September 2009 with Takbir and Eid prayers which were led by Trade Consul, Noraslan Hadi Abdul Kadir and while Eid khutbah was delivered by the Consul General, Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah.
The prayers were followed by a reception at Ala Mode Banquet. Over 125 Malaysians including 18 students attended the reception. Also present at the party were the Consul General of Egypt and
The Consul General and his spouse greeted all the guests and presented the children with “duit raya” while some guests and students performed Hari Raya karaoke.
The Consul General also organized an open house party at the official residence. A full day of Eid celebration in Mumbai this year was surely cheerful and memorable.
