HONOURABLE TAN SRI MUHYIDDIN HJ MOHD YASSIN IN MUMBAI ON OFFICIAL VISIT TO INDIA

Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Honourable Tan Sri Muhyiddin Bin Hj. Mohd Yassin visited Mumbai from 8 to 10 March 2011 for the first leg of his official visit to India. He was accompanied by the Minister of Work Hon Dato’ Seri Shaziman Mansor, Minister of Human Resources Datuk Dr. S. Subramaniam, Chief Minister of Sabah Hon. Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj. Aman, Special Envoy for India and South Asia on Infrastructure Dato’ Seri S. Samy Vellu, over 30 government officials and 20 Malaysian Business Representatives.

On arrival in Mumbai, Honourable Deputy Prime Minister was received by the officials of the Maharashtra State Government, the Malaysian High Commissioner HE Dato’ Tan Seng Sung and the Consul General Mr. Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah.

His official visit program in Mumbai includes a visit to VFS Global Malaysian Visa Application Centre, Dialogue with Malaysian businessmen in India, Round Table Meeting with Captains of Indian Industries, Meeting with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, individual meetings with the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited and Chairman of TATA Group of Companies. Hon Deputy Prime Minister also offered a dinner for the Malaysian community and students in Maharashtra.

From Mumbai, Honourable Deputy Prime Minister left for New Delhi and Chennai for the rest of his official visit to India.
