MALAYSIA'S PARTICIPATION AT OBEROI MELTING POT 2008
The Consulate General of Malaysia in Mumbai and PERWAKILAN Mumbai joined hand in materializing Malaysia's participation at the Oberoi Melting Pot, an annual international charity event organised by the Consular Corp in Mumbai, Rotary Club and the Oberoi Group of Hotels.
The event took place on 21st September 2008 and was participated by 19 countries including Malaysia. Each country opened their stall to display and offer their cuisines and other edible products. Companies from different countries also gave sponsorship of products or services which were later auctioned at the event. All the proceed from the ticket sales and auction were to be channeled to a charity organisation, namely the Childline. The event was also made alive with performances from various countries.
Malaysia's stall offers a few different Malaysian cuisine namely roti jala with chicken curry, rojak buah, karipap pusing, kuih cara, kuih talam and kuih lepat. These delicious foods were prepared by some members of PERWAKILAN.
