MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA PAHANG PARTICIPATE IN WORLD UNIVERSITY FORUM 2009 IN MUMBAI
MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND UNIVERSITI Dato' Prof. Ir. Dr Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar, Senior Director of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dato’ Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim, Vice Chancellor of the Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and four other delegation members attended the World University Forum 2009 held in Mumbai from 15 to 18 January 2009. Upon arriving at Mumbai city on 15 January 2009, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Consul General of Malaysia, Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah at the later’s Office. The MOHE and the UPM had requested for an assistance of the Consulate to reach out as many PhD graduates preferably from Indian Institutes of Technology to be recruited as teaching staff for various post-graduate courses at the UMP. Dato’ Prof. Sahol Hamid and Dato’ Dr. Daing Nasir both presented their working papers at the Forum. The delegation members were honoured with a dinner hosted by the Consul General at a local restaurant in Mumbai.
