SPECIAL ENVOY ON INFRASTRUCTURE MET WITH CHIEF MINISTER OF GUJARAT IN GANDHINAGAR, GUJARAT
The Malaysian Special Envoy for India and South Asia on Infrastructure, Dato’ Seri S. Samy Vellu visited Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar on 28 and 29 January 2011 for a special meeting with the Chief Minister Gujarat, Hon. Narendra Modi. The Consul General Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, several officials and businessmen were also present at the meeting held at the residence of the Chief Minister.
The meeting was centred on possible investment opportunities in Gujarat in particular on road construction, low cost housing and integrated transportation hub. The Chief Minister welcomed Malaysian interests in infrastructure projects in Gujarat and offered to facilitate Malaysia’s participation on a number of identified projects.
