Working Visit YB Dato Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, Minister of Tourism and Culture to India (covering Mumbai and Chennai) on 13 to16 February 2015
YB Dato Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, Minister of Tourism and Culture made a working visit India (covering Mumbai and Chennai) from 13 – 16 February 2015. He was accompanied by the Malaysian Sales Mission delegation, officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, State representatives and members of the travel trade fraternity.
During the Hon Minister’s visit here in Mumbai, Tourism Malaysia has launched the Malaysia Year of Festivals (MYFest) 2015 with the theme ‘Endless Celebrations’ to showcase and celebrate the country’s bountiful and diverse cultures and festivities as a tourist attraction.
YB Minister also hosted a dinner with a special attendance of the Honourable Prof. Shri Ram Shankar Shinde, State Minister of Home (Rural), Marketing, Public Health and Tourism and Smt Valsa R. Nair Singh, Maharashtra Tourism Secretary.
India has always been an important market for Malaysia. It has consistently been one of the top 10 tourist generating markets to the country, and has continuously made significant contributions to our tourist arrivals and tourist receipts.
