The High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, H.E. Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa, participated as a panelist in the Ambassadors’ Panel Session of the 5th ASEAN-India Youth Summit held in Goa on 29 August 2025.

During the session, H.E. Dato’ Muzafar Shah joined fellow ASEAN Ambassadors and representative from the Indian government in discussing on matters pertaining to the “ASEAN-India Partnership and Connecting the Youth”, underscoring the vital role of young leaders in shaping the future of ASEAN-India relations. He highlighted the importance of youth-led innovation, digital connectivity, sustainable development, and people-to-people exchanges as driving forces in strengthening the Strategic Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between ASEAN and India.

On the sidelines of the Summit, the High Commissioner also had the opportunity to meet and engage with the Malaysian youth delegation, offering words of encouragement and reaffirming Malaysia’s commitment to empowering youth voices on regional and global platforms.

Since its inception in 2017, the ASEAN-India Youth Summit serves as a premier platform to foster dialogue, collaboration, and friendship among young leaders, promoting mutual understanding and shared aspirations between ASEAN and India.

Malaysia remains committed to nurturing youth leadership and enhancing ASEAN-India cooperation towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
