The Malaysian Inter-Economic Agency (IEA) Meeting No. 1/2025 was successfully convened in hybrid format on 28 July 2025, chaired by the High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, H.E. Dato' Muzafar Shah Mustafa. Organised by the Economic Affairs Section (MITI New Delhi) of the High Commission of Malaysia, the meeting brought together representatives from all Malaysian economic agencies based in India to coordinate planned activities, enhance inter-agency collaboration, and align efforts with Malaysia’s national economic priorities.
Following the IEA Meeting, MITI New Delhi hosted an "Interaction Session" between the High Commissioner and Indian business representatives, in collaboration with the Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB). The session saw the participation of over 40 Indian businesses and featured a presentation on trade and investment opportunities in Malaysia, with a focus on key growth sectors and areas for potential collaboration.
The session received encouraging interest from participants, with promising leads identified in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, green energy, drone technology, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), startups, green ports, and smart logistics.
