Birth/Marriage Registration
REGISTRATION OF BIRTH
Malaysian(s) born in India can be registered at Malaysian High Commission, New Delhi on the conditions :
- Father/Mother of the child is a Malaysian Citizen
- Registration is made within one (1) year from the date of birth
- The parent must provide address in Malaysia and address of relative that can be contacted
Apart from bringing the child to Malaysian High Commission, the following documents are required for registration:
1) Covering letter from applicant;
2) 1 form JPN KC09;
3) Passport of the parents (original & 2 copies - page no. 1, 2 and 3);
4) Malaysian Identity Card / MyKad (original & 2 copies - photocopy of both side);
- If the mother/father is not Malaysian Citizen then her/him passport will be used as identification
5) Malaysian Marriage Certificate (original & 2 copies);
6) Birth Certificates of parents (original & 2 copies);
7) Birth Certificate of the child with all the parent's detail (original & 2 copies - attested by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India); and
8) 2 passport size photographs (in blue background) of the child.
The birth certificate will be processed in 2 working days.
The parent must provide address in Malaysia and address of relative that can be contacted
