EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA, TEHRAN
BRIEF HISTORY
Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1970 when Malaysia opened its Embassy in Tehran. Iran later opened its Embassy in Malaysia in 1981.
The first Ambassador of Malaysia to Iran was His Excellency Ahmad Zainal Abidin Mohd Yusof. After the Islamic Revolution, His Excellency Ahmad Faiz Abdul Hamid was appointed as the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Bilateral relations between Malaysia and Iran continue to be cordial. Both countries have also cooperated successfully in many areas of common interest at the international fora under the auspices of the United Nations (UN), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Developing-8 Organization (D-8).
سفارت مالزی در تهران
تاریخچه مختصر
هر دو کشور در سال 1970، زمانی که مالزی سفارت خود را در تهران افتتاح کرد، روابط دیپلماتیک خود را شروع کردند. ایران نیز بعدتر در سال 1981 سفارت خود را در مالزی افتتاح کرد.
اولین سفیر مالزی در ایران جناب احمد زین العابدین محمد یوسف بود. پس از انقلاب اسلامی، جناب احمد فیض عبدالحمید به عنوان سفیر مالزی در جمهوری اسلامی ایران منصوب شد.
روابط دوجانبه مالزی و ایران همچنان صمیمانه است. هر دو کشور همچنین در بسیاری از زمینه های مورد علاقه مشترک در مجامع بین المللی تحت نظارت سازمان ملل متحد (UN)، سازمان همکاری اسلامی (OIC)، جنبش عدم تعهد (NAM) و سازمان در حال توسعه-8 (D-8). با موفقیت همکاری کرده اند.
