A TASTE OF MALAYSIA: CULINARY DIPLOMACY IN TEHRAN
Food connects hearts, and today the Embassy of Malaysia in Tehran celebrated cultural exchange through the art of Malaysian cuisine! On 11 October 2026, the Embassy successfully hosted a special Culinary Diplomacy Program featuring a live cooking demonstration. Our talented Home-Based Staff (HBS) took center stage to showcase the meticulous preparation of two of Malaysia’s most beloved traditional dishes: 🥞 Roti Jala (Net Pancakes): Intricately swirled to form a beautiful, lace-like pattern. 🍗 Chicken Curry and Beef Curry: A fragrant, richly spiced masterpiece that perfectly pairs with the roti. Through this program, the Embassy aimed to share the unique flavors of Malaysia's heritage and culinary arts, using the universal language of food to foster deeper cultural understanding and friendship in Tehran. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and guests who made this flavorful journey a delicious success!
