Dato’ Zahid attended the 3rd International Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Forum in Pristina, Kosovo, from 2–3 June 2025. He was accompanied by Ms. Nidyakala Manian, Second Secretary of the Embassy.
This annual high-level forum is convened under the leadership of H.E. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, President of the Republic of Kosovo, to advance global dialogue on the role of women in peace and security. The 2025 edition focused on strengthening women’s leadership in post-conflict recovery, promoting inclusive governance, and addressing gender-based violence and the protection of children in conflict-affected areas.
Malaysia has consistently supported the Women, Peace and Security agenda, recognising the essential contributions of women in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and humanitarian response, as well as the need to protect children in conflict and post-conflict settings.
