Malaysia Diaspora hosted by YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Minister of Finance II
YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Minister of Finance II, hosted a warm and meaningful dinner with the Malaysian diaspora on Saturday, 3 May 2025. The event, held at Rangoli Indian Restaurant, Milan was part of his working visit to Italy in conjunction with the 58th Asian Development Bank (ADB) Annual Meeting and the ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting. Also present were YBhg. Datuk Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour, Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia; YBhg. Dato' Marzunisham Omar, Deputy Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia; and Mr. Ahmad Fuad Mohd Norzin, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy.
The evening brought together fellow Malaysians residing, working, and studying in Milan and surrounding areas. It was an excellent opportunity to engage in open dialogue, exchange perspectives, and share updates on Malaysia’s economic outlook and reform efforts.
The Minister expressed deep appreciation for the contributions of Malaysians abroad and encouraged continued ties with the homeland, underscoring the importance of the global Malaysian network in supporting national growth. The evening was not only informative, but also inspiring — a reminder that even far from home, the spirit of Malaysia remains strong among its people.
