Malaysia Through My Lens
On 26 June 2025, the Embassy proudly co-organised “Malaysia Through My Lens”, a photography talk by Stefano Romano, in collaboration with Officine Fotografiche Roma, at their premise. This event marked another step in the Embassy’s commitment to cultural diplomacy, offering Italian audiences a meaningful insight into Malaysia’s rich history, diversity, and identity. The event was opened by Ms. Nidyakala Manian, Second Secretary, who delivered introductory remarks on behalf of the Embassy. From the early roots of the nation and its path to independence, to kampung life, ethnic harmony, and vibrant cultural traditions, Stefano’s talk and over 170 captivating photographs beautifully highlighted the essence and cultural heritage of our nation.
Audiences explored Malaysia’s unique architecture, vibrant festivals, sacred spaces, markets, fashion, and music, all culminating in a celebration of unity in diversity. The event concluded with a taste of Malaysia through local cuisine and a showcase of travel highlights at the Tourism Malaysia booth.
