REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE

Muslim’s need to register their marriage at the Registration Department in Malaysia and if they have children they need to register them in Malaysia not with our Embassy. (26/5/2023)
FOR MALAYSIANS THAT MARRY IN ITALY AND WISH TO REGISTER THEIR MARRIAGE IN MALAYSIA THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED:
1. ITALIAN MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE WHICH MUST BE TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH AND AUTHENTICATED BY THE PROCURA OTHERWISE APPLICANT SHOULD APPLY FOR AN INTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE WHICH IS ALREADY IN ENGLISH – CERTIFICATO DI MATRIMONIO PLURILINGUE
2. COPY OF CERTIFICATE OF SINGLE STATUS – ISSUED BY THE REGISTRAR OF MARRIAGES IN MALAYSIA AND RELIGIOUS CERTIFICATE FOR MUSLIMS
3. COPY OF “NULLA OSTA” ISSUED BY OUR EMBASSY
4. PASSPORT, IDENTITY CARD AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF BOTH HUSBAND & WIFE
5. ONE PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH EACH & ONE PHOTOGRAPH OF THE MARRIAGE CERIMONY
6. FEE: RM 20.00
IF LATE REGISTRATION, FINE OF RM 100.00 FOR THE FIRST YEAR AND RM 50.00 FOR EACH FOLLOWING YEAR
REGISTRATION OF BIRTH

Documentation required for the registration of birth/citizenship for child with a foreign father:
Child’s documents :
a) 3 photographs with blue background
b) RM 20.00 equivalent to € 5.00
c) Identity Card of child if any
d) Birth Certificate of child (Plurilingue international birth certificate)
e) Schooling certificate or letter from the school that child is attending
f) Passport or other document
g) Boring D
Parents documents:
a) Identity Card or death certificate
b) Birth Certificate or latest birth extract
c) Citizenship certificate
d) Passport
e) Stay Permit of foreign country
f) Marriage Certificate
g) Divorce certificate if any
h) If not married (appendice BWN/TK/01 or BWN/TK/02)
Sibling Documents:
a) Birth Certificate
Parents and the child must be present at the moment of registration.
For those submitting the application at the Malaysian Embassy’s it is acceptable to bring a foto with white background.
Documents in foreign language must be translated to English or Malay and authenticated by the Procura
(Public Prosecutor’s Office)
The copy of the documents birth/marriage/schooling abroad must be certified by the Embassy.

Registration should be submitted within 1 year of the child’s birth. For late registration they can apply directly in Malaysia.
a) Italian birth certificate (Plurilingue international certificate, if Italian Birth Certificate it needs to be translated and authenticated by the Procura)

d) Document of Parents:
- Passport
- Identity card
- Birth certificate
- Marriage certificate
- Italian stay permit
e) Fee RM 30.00 (Borang “D” RM 20.00 Borang “H” No. A/14 N°……. RM10.00)
