At the 179th Session of the FAO Council on 3 December, Dato’ Zahid delivered a statement on potential future reforms of the FAO. In July this year, the 44th FAO Conference approved a process for institutional renewal and reform of the organisation. Malaysia looks forward to a pragmatic, result-oriented, and inclusive reform pathway that strengthens the FAO so that it remains fit for purpose, and is responsive to the needs of all countries, particularly developing ones.
