International Food and Beverages Exhibition (FOODEX) Japan 2025

11 March 2025 – The International Food and Beverages Exhibition (FOODEX) Japan 2025 was successfully held from 11 to 14 March 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight. The event attracted approximately 85,000 domestic and international buyers from across the food and beverage industry. The Malaysia Pavilion, featuring 11 companies showcasing a wide range of halal-certified products, including confectionery, snacks, seafood, and beverages. The Pavilion recorded an estimated RM264 million in potential sales, highlighting strong demand for Malaysian products in the Japanese market.

 

The Malaysia Pavilion was officially launched by H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan. Over the course of the four-day event, Malaysian exhibitors actively engaged in business meetings and networking sessions, forging new connections and exploring opportunities to expand their presence in Japan and the broader region.

 

Malaysia’s participation at FOODEX Japan 2025 not only underscored the country’s reputation as a trusted supplier of high-quality halal products but also served to strengthen bilateral trade relations between Malaysia and Japan. The Embassy of Malaysia, through MATRADE (Tokyo Office), provided extensive support to participating companies by facilitating business matching initiatives and enhancing the visibility of Malaysia’s brand identity throughout the event.
