Japan Golf Fair 2025
7 March 2025 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, officiated the Malaysia Pavilion at the Japan Golf Fair 2025, held at the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall. The 59th edition of the fair, which ran from 7 to 9 March 2025, concluded successfully with a record attendance of 53,034 visitors.
Malaysia’s participation featured three premier golf courses, namely, Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, Saujana Golf and Country Club, and The Els Club Desaru Coast, showcased within the Malaysia Pavilion. Additionally, two Japanese travel agencies promoted exclusive Malaysian golf packages. Malaysia Airlines took part as an exhibitor, while AirAsia and Batik Air contributed flight tickets for a lucky draw, attracting significant interest from visitors.
A seminar and networking session was also organised on 6 March 2025, providing a platform for industry players to explore collaboration opportunities and further promote Malaysia as a preferred golf tourism destination.
Malaysia’s strong presence at the fair helped enhance the country's profile in Japan’s lucrative golf tourism market, fostering greater interest among Japanese golfers to experience Malaysia’s world-class golfing facilities, complemented by its warm hospitality and diverse attractions.
