19 December 2025 – Wikimedia Malaysia-Japan, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS), and Universiti Malaya (UM) jointly organised the “Wikimedia Japan–Malaysia Friendship”, a Wikipedia editing workshop on Malaysia and Japan, which was held simultaneously at TUFS and UM. Supported by the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo, the workshop was attended by Mr. Zainal Azlan Mohd Nadzir, Deputy Chief of Mission, who delivered the opening remarks. Among others, he emphasised the importance of deepening people-to-people connections between Malaysia and Japan, which would contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Embassy extends its gratitude to the organisers for this meaningful initiative, which successfully fostered friendship and mutual understanding, and further strengthened people-to-people ties between Malaysia and Japan.
