With the increasing number of Malaysians losing their passports in Japan, please take extra care of your passport. If you lose your passport, report it at the nearest Police Station (Keisatsusho) and obtain an official report. Bring the original report along with the required documents to the Embassy to apply for an Emergency Certificate. Refer HERE for more info.

Travel medical insurance purchased from private insurance companies in Malaysia is often not accepted by clinics and hospitals in Japan. Therefore, we recommend obtaining private medical insurance with adequate coverage from a Japanese insurance provider before departing Malaysia or immediately upon arrival in Japan.
