6TH ASEM FORUM ON THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF OLDER PERSONS

02 September 2026 91 views

As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes our daily lives, an important question deserves our attention, namely, how do we ensure that no one is left behind including older persons?

On 2 September 2026, the 6th ASEM Forum on the Human Rights of Older Persons, jointly organised by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, brought together around 50 participants to explore this very issue. Held under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and the Human Rights of Older Persons: Towards Age-Inclusive AI Transformation”, the Forum examined both the opportunities and challenges AI presents for the lives, dignity and human rights of older persons.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul was represented by its Deputy Chief of Mission, joining an important conversation on making the digital transformation more inclusive, accessible and age-friendly. Essentially, technology may be changing fast but inclusion should move even faster. 🌏🤝🤖
