MATRADE Seoul spearheaded Malaysia's participation at the Korea Import Expo (KIE) 2026, held from 23 - 25 June 2026 at COEX Hall B, Seoul, bringing together 17 Malaysian companies, including 10 enterprises under MARA's Gate to Global Programme. This marked Malaysia's largest-ever participation at the annual exposition.
The Malaysia Pavilion showcased the country's diverse export capabilities, featuring an extensive range of products and solutions across the food and beverage, health and wellness, household consumer goods, halal products, natural and herbal-based products, detergents, snacks and confectionery, sauces and condiments, ready-to-eat and frozen foods, bird's nest products, as well as other lifestyle offerings.
In conjunction with the Expo, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of Malaysia took the opportunity to visit the Malaysia Pavilion, where he met with participating Malaysian exhibitors and was briefed on their products, business aspirations and engagements with prospective Korean buyers. The visit also served as an occasion to convey the Embassy's continued support for Malaysian companies in their efforts to expand their footprint in the Republic of Korea and to reaffirm the Government's commitment to promoting Malaysia as a competitive and reliable trading partner in the Korean market.
