57th ASEAN DAY
Happy 57th ASEAN Day to all!
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN was established on 8 August 1967, and this year marks the 57th anniversary of its formation. ASEAN strives to create a region that is peaceful, stable and prosperous, encompassing all three pillars of the ASEAN Community, namely, political-security, economic, and socio-cultural.
The theme for this year’s ASEAN Day celebration is “Connectivity & Resilience”, focusing on strength in unity and diversity, shared experiences and the way forward for ASEAN to address current and future challenges.
